TIP: Be prepared for the crowds if going on a Sunday, though the line does move reasonably well. Please note that the long line is not to purchase a ticket, but to actually go up the mountain, so send someone in your group to get tickets (another, shorter queue) while you wait in line. You can also skip the teléferico or funicular altogether and walk up to Monserrate – if the path is open.
